Diwali is Family Festival. Celebrating the diwali with all the family together has special; happiness. The Laxmi Poojan, Busting Crackers with family & friends, Eating Lavishing Sweets & Snacks   and more things we do....

Every Year, I celebrate Diwali  with my family. But this time no holidays so had to work on Diwali day too... So was little bit upset for not going to celebrate Diwali this time with family. After all you get fewer occasions to see your family altogether...

Overcoming from the Upset mood,  I thought to celebrate this Diwali  in unique way. Like me.. Many of my LSL friends were not going to home for celebration.. So we togetherly planned to celebrate this Diwali with the Slum Kids...And the Planning began...

We decided to celebrate the Diwali by Sweets Distribution followed by enjoying Paper Poppers. But Sudden one day before decided to keep Rangoli Competition.

As planned, we were only 6-7 volunteers to be going to come. Surprisingly,  there were 14-15 volunteers more than we thought and that gave us Goosebumps to  Celebrate the Dil Wali Diwali   with full spirit.

On Arriving, we saw kids were newly dressed. They were enjoying with their friends. some of them were new faces for us as they were studying in residential school. All the kids stuck to  volunteers and started doing Masti with them. Doing Photo Session by taking kids on our shoulders was "Moment of the Event".

Meanwhile, some of our volunteers distributed sweets to every slum family and sought lots of blessings. We volunteers also enjoyed this along with kids.

In few time, we started Rangoli Competition. Boys along with girls also participated in this Rangoli making activity.

After finishing, some of kids performed singing & dancing infront of all.  The celebration happily ended with Pastries distribution to kids by the Birthday Boy Deepak followed by Gift Distribution by the Chandrabhushan Modi & others.

Heartly thanks to  ICERTIS  and the Ladies group of Sanskruti Society,Hadapsar for the Sweets. Thank you Vikas Sir & Mam for being the part of this event... Cheers to our Team...& Thank you for being their...

The Rising of Women...

''India mein sabzi Lene se leke to olympic Medal  tak.... Ladies ko hi Jana Padta hai....''

This sentence is trolling the Tweeter,WhatsApp, Facebook and many other social media sites and applications after winning Silver Medal by PV Sindhu in Rio Olympics2016 Badminton Finals.Literally, this Rio Olympics2016 Games Proved to be mind Changing  Game for Indians about their thinking for Women..

India’s 2016 Olympic stars Aditi Ashok, PV Sindhu, Sakshi Malik &  Dipa Karmakar stand tall amidst shattered glass ceilings, prejudices, and apathy. These women have smashed, punched, and vaulted their way forward in a country that counts on its sons for success and sees its daughters as the meek ones to be married off.

Lets See about the Women players who made India proud by winning olympic medals...

Sakshi Malik..

The Rohtak Girl, made india proud after winning the first Olympic medal at Rio Olympics Games for India by winning Bronze medal against Kyrgyzstan’s Aisuluu Tynybekova in 58 Kg category of  Women's Freestyle Wrestling at Rio Olympics 2016.

  PV Sindhu

This name was not known to all  Indians till she entered the badminton Finals at Rio Olympics2016. The Evening of 19th Aug,2016, has become an historical one as PV Sindhu, 21 years old,  conquered Silver Medal on her name while playing against Carolina Martin, Spanish Player.  Both PV Sindhu and Carolina Martin entered the Badminton Finals in Olympics for the first time. Pusarla Venkata Sindhu's  journey till the finals itself is an achievement n victory. She may not have won the Gold, but she have won the hearts of billion people which made this Silver Medal Shine more than winning a Gold Medal. We cant ignore the man behind her success, Pullela Gopichand,  ex-athlelte and her coach. She has won a bronze medal at the 2009 Sub-Junior Asian Badminton Championships.P. V.  The story and their journey to RioOlympics2016 is itself an achievement for them. A nice message to share with you that changes the view about the women in society :

"For the Indian Girls at Rio.. "

They defeated the ultrasound that declared 'It' was a 'She'.

They defeated the nurse declaring in a sombre tone 'Ladki Hai..' .

They defeated murderous parents or even worse ,
those who keep them alive but kill their spirit every single day.

They defeated the odds against them for parents "Allowing" her to chase her dream.

They defeated the family pride that wants Every Indian Child to be a Doctor or Engineer.

They defeated the School Teacher, who said "It's not a Girl's Game".

They defeated bad Sports Infrastructure and even lack of Healthy food needed to fuel the fire.

They defeated a System where overweight foreign travelling officials,
who have only played ludo as a sports, decide her fate.

They defeated the Dada-Nana who told her "good girls don't wear short clothes".

They defeated the Dadi-Nani who told her not to play in sun and become "kaali-kaluti."

They defeated friends who told her she needs to "control aggression and chill."

They defeated the pados waali Aunty ji who wondered "akele kahan-kahan ghumti hai aapki ladki."

They defeated the million eyes staring at her legs and not noticing the brilliant game she played.

They defeated the Bua jee and Mausi jee who ask "tum shadi kab karogi."

They defeated the journalist who asked her when she would "settle".

They defeated the cynics who thought they were pouting and clicking selfies on a fully paid foreign trip..

They have achieved what they have not because of us. But despite us!"...

Nothing is Impossible for Woman......

"Nothing is impossible to a determined woman.”

This Famous Line from the book of  "The  Unknown Thrillers of Louisa " Signifies the importance  of Women in today's generation.Whichever field you explore, you will find in comparison to men, women are ahead Whether it may be Education field or Defense, Political or Social.
It consumed much time to think what to write on this... Coz its not a topic of limited scope.. its a topic of Widen horizons...
Women are no longer behind the men in today's competitive world. Their talent and Passion towards their aim is what makes them one step ahead in the world.Going to share you some experience about some special women/Girls who inspired me to write  about "Nothing impossible for Women...."

The First one is whom we love very much in our life : Mother

Maa, Mom, Aai, Mummy, Amma, Ammi  are the names by which we call her. No one can ever replace them in our life. She is the one who knows  us very well than anyone, she is the one who bears us with extreme pain when we are in her womb for 9 months, nourishes us, fulfill all our wishes. She does everything she can to make us a better person in this world. But today's generation youngsters are forgetting importance of Mother in there life. We left our parents in the condition they are... living them unattended, sending them to the old age homes.
When we both Me & Harsh younger brother... were small, my mom use to keep as alone in the home or towards neighborhood  and use to work whole day with Papa and still even she goes daily when we are grown up enough. I  use to feel sad when she use to left us alone at house. Now we grew up mature enough & busy in our lives.Whenever I see a family nearby me...It reminds me the sacrifice my Maa did for both of us. Now its our turn to keep her Happy, fulfill all her Wishes she deserves, expects from her children. Whenever  I visits home at  regular intervals, my Mom asks me why i come frequently, I just ignore this question. Might be she use to get answer  from my heart that how much I love them........
I am sure everyone wants do same for there parents, make them proud. Love you Maa..

The second one who inspired me most to write on : A Special Friend...

Her journey of being an Entrepreneur by overcoming her Dyslexia is an inspiration of many young girls as well as women in the world of Crafting. She turned her passion and interest of art and craft into her profession by being the Enterpreneur at the age of  21, by quitting  highly paid job.
She runs her own firm by the name of  "Haath Kam"  meaning "Work with Hands" to boost the Indian creativity. On quitting her handsome paid job, her friends made fun of her. But she was determined and focused towards her passion of turning her interest into the profession.
She  give the credits of  this to her Mother. She believes this talent  creativity is  gifted to her from her mother.   She runs her firm in a small storeroom of her house.
Over the period of six months, she has built up strong relationship with her customers in India  as well as Abroad. She deals with handicraft items like Handmade Greetings, Gift hampers, T-light holders, Jewellery boxes, Scrap books, Clay Photo Frames. Her handmade Customized Clocks  is in huge demand.

She started suffering from Dyslexia since she was in 3rd Standard. Dyslexia or Reading disorder which is characterized by trouble in reading despite normal  intelligence. People thought it was a mental condition, but its actually not. She overcame this with continuous improvement over this. Now, she guides the people who are affected by Dyslexia to help them to overcome this and make them realize that nothing is impossible if we have strong will power to overcome it.
She has won many awards during her college days. The main thing about her work is, she started this work all from whatever money she had saved. She is now planning to work with Self-Help Groups with her motive to focus on low income people and provide them employment at very young age of just 21. Salute to you....

This were the two women who inspires me most in my life. We all have at least one woman in our life who is an inspiration for us.

Recently  Captain Radhika Menon, Master of the oil products tanker Sampurna Swarajya is the first women selected for the IMO Award for exceptional bravery at Sea for her role in dramatic rescue of Seven Fisherman from sinking fishing boat Durgamma in the sea of Bay of Bengal in June last year.

Captain Radhika Menon
IMO- International Maritime Organization is United Nation's specialized agency responsible for the safety and security of shipping and the prevention of marine pollution by ships.

From the above, we came to know that, Women are not just destined for Kitchen.... there are destined to explore there life like men in the new horizons.. Live there life with  full of freedom, follow there passion.

Don't Treat a women  as an animal that will follow your order as you say, but treat them as a human. Respect them.Save the  Girl child, don't differentiate between a boy & a girl. Both are Equal.

  So always remember,

             "Nothing is Impossible for Woman......

Sharing you a small Composition made by my best friend dedicated to all the woman  who wish to see infinite dreams, Thank you Amrita Chaudhari...

Dreams Infinite.....
 Today on the Seashore...
Wet feets going down into the sand & Eyes flickering on pendulous water.
Comparing my dreams with the Ocean infront of me,
I realized both are deep....
Yes, I am the woman having Dreams Infinite...

Every new dream is revealing in my mind,
coming wave pleasantly touches to the feets &
going wave encouraging forward step.
Under the glorious sky, at the bottom of clouds,
I wish to fly so high..
Yes, I am the woman having Dreams Infinite

In such exciting time, my mind thinks:
"I wish to the flower some silky dreams
& unconsciously hide myself in it by holding
many colors & sun rays on the wings, I wish to take the flight. "
Yes, I am the woman having dreams Infinite...

With the encouraging waves, Feet steps up..
Lips are lipsing and Soul singing on a new Rythm.
Yes, I am the woman having dreams infinite.......

Lets Spread Love Pune

                                       -Lets Spread Love Pune-

Participating in various Co-curricular  activities, social events and other various programs is my Interest..! Don't know why, I get attracted towards such activities wherever i am.

Completing 10 months in Pune, i got to know about various NGOs, volunteering groups, nature clubs and many more similar activities through Facebook. but as i was busy with my classes and was hunting for a job i could not take part in them,
As I became stable with my new job, I found myself not interested in any other work. Life had a routine of only office and back to Room. Even on  my weekly offs which use to fall on weekdays,I was not able to hangout with my friends as timings don't  match. Then I came into contact of a group Facebook named :    Lets Spread Love Pune.
Being roots of this group in Bangalore, its a group of highly motivated and dedicated volunteers and donors who are focused on development of children in slum areas. Initiative taken by Ashutosh Morrison with his college Friends in Pune says,
"The best feeling of happiness is when you're happy because you've made somebody else happy."
The Group includes almost working IT professionals mostly from Accenture,Wipro, Mphasis Ferraro India and many other MNC's, coming together for a good cause: Upliftment of Slum Children  who are far away from Education and Nourishment. Starting this initiative in the month of May, we had our 1st drive on May 15th. Being the first drive, it was some what difficult to manage all the drive. And Yesterday 3rd of July was our 3rd drive. It was raining heavily since morning but still our volunteers coming all the way to chinchwad from many parts of Pune, showed their 100 Percent dedication to bring the smile on the faces of Children.

We did our starting with Food donation drive. We request willing donors to donate freshly prepared home food in the box containers. Our volunteers collects this food from donors house & distribute them to this slum children. In starting, it was little less response, but as soon as time went by, our volunteers encourage people around them be a part of this good cause. Not only working professionals, but senior citizens also supported us in this cause by donating food.

One such family I met yesterday in Pleasant Society-2,Fatima Nagar. They were so kindly. when I went to their home to collect the packed boxes in such a heavy rain, they asked me one question, "You are taking this food for the children in such a heavy rainy climate,  what would you eat? you also must be hungry?". This question let me Speechless...what to say?
On the way towards slum, thought came into my mind,  Do such kindful people does exist now also? Yes, there such people in our neighborhood who thinks about others also in this Selfish World.

The main thing about the LSL Pune is, we do not take money from any of donor though they are willing to offer by themselves. We just asking them donate food or other things that can be helpful to educate this children and make them one step away from Illiteracy. In pics, you can see many happy faces of Children when we went their for the drive. Like us, their are some college girls also who are teaching this slum children since two years. A grate salute to those girls..for such good initiative.

I would like to urge the people, specially those are in Pune Join the LSLP and be a part of Good Cause to Upliftment of Such Children.

"If we are well educated and we can't educate the needy one in life,Then there is no use of education we took.. !! "
